The Right Cleaning and Care of Wine-Glasses

Some prefer to drink wine at home, with friends or in restaurants. Then you can just stand up and leave the glass cleaning to others. Well, it is not so bad with the glass coils but now also not. However, one should consider quite a few points, as long as one does not want to acquire new glasses shortly.

Washing by hand

Not everyone has a dishwasher and even if not every glass fits inside or is suitable for it. As a rule, the manufacturers point out whether their glasses are dishwasher safe.

However, for cleaning by hand, use lukewarm water and a gentle detergent. So that it does not come in the sink to a glass break, the glasses are best washed one after the other. Afterwards, they should be rinsed carefully with pure water of the same temperature.

Glasses of every quality have very fine pores. As a result, the apparently smooth glass surface assumes odors from the environment. Therefore, home remedies such as alcohol or lemon juice are also not suitable for removing lime scale deposits or stubborn stains.

Cleaning in the dishwasher

In the machine, theglass should never be hotter than 60 degrees, if possible clean with mild detergents. At higher temperatures glass damaged.Cloudiness may occur after prolonged use.

When placing the jars in the washing basket, care should be taken to prevent the water agglomeration during the rinsing process. This prevents damage or even breakage.

After the washing process, the dishwasher door must open a wide gap in order to allow the hot steam, which can permanently damage the surface of the glass.
