Tip 1: Rinse the rinse by hand
Some wine glasses are also suitable for the dishwasher, but the best washing results are achieved by hand. Also breaks can be prevented (with some caution). Anyone who has access to the dishwasher should avoid water temperatures above 60 ° Celsius.
Tip 2: Rinse the glasses individually in lukewarm water
Glasses are very vulnerable to fractures. Therefore, one should only place the glasses individually in the sink and rinse there with lukewarm water.
Tip 3: Do not use alcohol or lemon juice to remove lime scale
Glasses of every quality have very fine pores. This allows you to absorb odors from the environment. Alcohol and lemon juice adhere particularly stubbornly and cloud the next wine. (White vinegar is more suitable)
Tip 4: Do not touch the styling when drying and polishing
The style of wine from any quality is very sensitive. It is therefore advisable not to touch the glasses while they are drying. It is better to hold the calyx slightly at the arch.
Tip 5: Use two cloths for drying and polishing.
Usually a cloth is used for drying and one for touching the glass. This way you avoid fingerprints and achieve the best results when polishing.
Tip 6: Use linen or special microfiber cloths and wash without fabric softener.
Linen and microfiber cloths are the best way to avoid streaks on the jars. After use, wash them without fabric softener. This leaves a greasy film when polishing the glasses.
